This is an open invitation for the Victoria and area Police Departments to join the 99% on Saturday (Oct. 15/11) and beyond)! Join the ongoing protest against the 1%…we count on you.
We are very sorry if there has been any damage done to personal property. Under no circumstances do we condone such acts. This is a peaceful protest and those who vandalize personal property do not represent the actions of our group (The People’s Assembly of Victoria).
Sorry not at GA tonight. Can’t get there but wanted to mention.
Occupy Melbourne has Indigenous Committee as well.
Here is the blurb from their website:
INDIGENOUS
This is Occupy Melbourne’s “Indigenous committee” page…
The Indigenous committee communicates and co-ordinates with representatives from Melbourne’s Indigenous community. Occupy Melbourne recognises that this camp will take place on the land of the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin nation, who are the traditional owners of the land upon which Melbourne occupies. We also recognise that the continent of Australia continues to be illegally occupied to this day.
The Indigenous committee informs and works with the various other working groups and committees to ensure Indigenous issues are not sidelined.

Hey there Occupy Victoria. I noticed today that someone spray painted the Occupy Victoria website address on the back of a Thrifty Foods truck.
NOT COOL.
You’re not going to get support by vandalizing the property of local businesses!
