You might be wondering “Hey wait, Canada is not negotiating this agreement, why should I be concerned?”
The answer is this agreement will surely expand to Canada, Mexico and other Pacific trading partners. The only thing keeping them out of negotiations in the past is strong internal regulations precluding certain countries from entertaining the proposals set forward in the agreement and would therefore hinder the negotiations. They are now pushing to enter negotiations with assitance from US diplomatic channels.

The U.S. and eight other nations involved are Australia, New Zealand, Chile, Peru, Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei.
