Why on earth of you using Al Jazeera as the broadcast source for “To The Last Drop: Canada’s Dirty Oil Sands”? Are Middle Eastern interests less of an “enemy” than Western interests?

Hi JM, I was up till 3AM posting about 40+ videos/documentaries in the Education section because I knew Oct 15th was going to be a high web traffic day for us, and wanted to make sure people don’t imagine we are all about 1 sentence slogans. There is a lot of detailed information out there to what we’re protesting about. The Al Jazeera videos was the first I found for that documentary, but then couldn’t find one of the other parts, and later discovered some on the CBC website and linked those. Anyway, let’s not lose sight of the message in the video, regardless of where it is being streamed from. So long as it is unaltered. It’s low on my priority list right now to fix this. Hopefully later. Thanks for writing in.

Another good Documentary on the Peak Oil Crisis is called “The Power of Community” and its about how Cuba was forced into artificial peak oil in 1990 by the collapse of the Soviet Union and the trade embargos by the USA. It shows what they went through to survive and thrive without the mass use of oil.
