Retired United Church of Canada (UCC) Minister, The Rev. Dale Perkins was one of 12 participants in a Pilgrimage of Solidarity to Israel/Palestine, to learn about the work Palestinians and Israelis are doing for justice and peace. The trip took place in April-May of this year and was sponsored by the Naramata Centre of the UCC. Rev. Perkins will be giving an oral presentation, including slides and other visual data, built around the theme of, “Why I went, what I saw and experienced, and what now?”

Please join us this Thursday, June 21, at 7:00 p.m., as CJPME-Victoria welcomes Rev. Dale Perkins for a talk entitled, A Personal Encounter with Palestinian/Israeli Reality. The talk will be held as follows:
A Q&A session as well as informal conversation time will follow. It is expected that the UCC Middle East Working Group report on Israel-Palestine will also be discussed. The report recommended that the UCC boycott products from Israeli settlements. CJPME met with the UCC Working Group in 2011, and applauded the recent report of the UCC Middle East Working Group.
